There is a story under the name Output42
Customers often ask us where the name Output42 comes from, so here is the short
story:
Our name was inspired by the book "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" in which an essential element of
the plot is "Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything". The "big question" was asked by
eminently intelligent beings from another dimension to a highly sophisticated Deep Thought computer,
designed exclusively for this occasion. After seven and a half million years of complex calculations, Deep
Thought gave an answer regarding life, the universe, and the rest. It was "Output is 42".
That has inspired us!
We are not just big fans of technology and science but also a team of motivated
people who love challenges in their daily work. We aim to deliver innovative solutions and answers for our
client's problems - even if they are difficult and take time. As a company comprised of domain experts with
vast experience and knowledge, we believe Output42 can answer every need in the field of software and
technology for logistic and aviation.
When you ask for the best solutions, the answer is Output42.
Aviation is more than just a business for us it is safety and reliability…
We formed Output42 in 2009 from a group of four funders. All of us were involved
in aviation activities, from personal interest in gliding, through aviation engineering studies and
extensive experience working with commercial aviation engineering software.
So, we feel like a group of software aviation experts and experienced professionals. From the very beginning
the Team we formed were not just a group of software developers but rather a group of individuals fascinated
with aviation with… a combined total of hundreds of years of aviation experience.
Commercial aviation (most of our team started their careers writing an MRO aviation system) and sport
aviation (Paul is European gliding champion from 1998) are the areas where we have spent most of our
professional lives.
Our founders are cool!
